Pics of my Sterling Jensen 3 pc.
« on: March 13, 2007, 12:04:00 PM »
Had this bow for awhile and have shot it but not alot, here lately been shooting it quiete a bit, great shooting no handshock and very quick. It has a 16 in. riser and limbs make a 62 in. bow. Not sure of riser woods but think the darker is Shedua or Bocote? The lighter wood might be osage or Tulipwood but again not sure, it has a fairly heavy riser but the brass limbbolts add to the weight. The limbs are flatcut red elm I believe, if anywood recognizes the woods please speak up. Sterling is a very good bowyer you dont hear much about. Beauty of a bow there! It looks like te darker wood is Bocote, the accent stripe may be Yew & it looks like the limb veneers may be red elm (Only guessin' though  :p )

Looks like Shedua and Tulipwood to me!  I LIKE IT!!!!  The stealth stabilizers are nice too!

Are those limbs trap shaped?  How can you get in touch with the bowyer?

Brian, It really doesnt need the limbsavers but it does make it a little quieter, which is always a good thing.

I missed the Limb Savers, I was talking about the big limb bolts.  I guess I am desensitized to Limb Savers after shooting my Dalaa and now my DAS Hunter with them since last fall.  LOL!!!

My first "real" bow was a 62" Sterling recurve TD. It was a great shooter and his static limb tips really do work. His TD longbow sure looks sweet too.
