ARROW ANXIETY
« on: February 12, 2009, 11:41:00 AM »
Hello, My name is Larry and I have a problem.
Arrows are driving me Crazy  :knothead:   I mostly stump shoot and pull about 63# at my drawlength of 31 1/2 out of my savanah and my Khunter, I like for my BH/fp to touch my bow hand nuckle as sort of a draw check
I have tried alot of carbon and some woodies and prolly 2 dozen aluminum.
I can get good knock position but seem to be weak or stiff. I thought I was closeing in on a good carbon but I cant find points over 125 to fit and they are axis st like (cx edge hunter).
:help:  please help me with some "recipes" you guys shoot. Im completly open minded
Thanx in advance,
Larry

Try 3Rivers for those FP. I use the 145grain on my ST Axis arrows. I have about 260 grains up front between the 100 grain insert, 145gr. FP, and 15 grain footing.

I love the Gold tip weights that screw into the back of the insert. They come in differant weight ranges to real twik your spine from up front.
Not all inserts are treaded all the way through to screw them into. So you need two tools to use them. (Gold tip inserts are set up to use them.) A 8/32 tap to complete the threads through the insert. And also one of the 36" allen wrenchs. To screw them into the back of the insert, from the nock end of the arrow's.

The Ben Avery shooting range just north of town. I do more shooting up in Prescott at the Granite Mountain Archers range. I have Chortdraw and 16ga along with a couple others to shoot with up there.
