Spine Question
« on: March 14, 2007, 08:08:00 AM »
I have a question:

If I have a 60-65 lb. Spined arrow paralell Shaft.

And the same 60-65lb. Tapered from nock end only, will the spine change due the tapering from the nock end say 10"???

Thank you

Tapering usually reduces the static spine about 1-3#.  Because they're lighter at the nock end, the dynamic spine is increased a little.  It's a null/sum game.  If the parallels shoot well for you, so will the tapers.  In fact, the tapers will probably shoot better because they should straighten from parallax a little quicker, because they're lighter in the back.
