Noisy Bow Quiver....
« on: February 18, 2009, 08:39:00 AM »
A lot of years ago I bought a bear bow quiver for my Martin Hunter.
It is a noisy thing and I tried putting a rubber grommet between the mounting brackets but no help there.

What has anyone else done to reduce the noise?

First, remove and Loctite every screw and make sure they are tight. After that, shoot some silicone caulk down inbetween the two flat pieces of metal that are attached to the rubber gripper and any other place you can see where 2 pieces of metal may vibrate together.Make sure your broadheads don't touch each other. You should be good to go.

There are 2 kinds of quiver designs out there...One designed to be shot on the bow and ones designed to be used to transport to your stand, then take it off and hang it up to shoot. I'm not familiar with which Bear quiver you have but if it's single point attachment, that's a poor design to be shot on the bow. Double attach points as far apart as possible are the quietest...O.L.

I have had many of the Bear bow quiver and have yet to get the noise out.  I've tried everything to no avail.

Hence, why I use a plains style.
Can't cheat the mountain,
