Carbonwood 4000's
« on: February 18, 2009, 05:59:00 PM »
I have some - dug through my old arrow boxes to see what I have - What a mess and what a range of arrows...my god I must have lost my mind.

ANyway I have some carbonwood 4000 and I have 8 grain weight tubes in them with 125 grain tips.

Anyone know how they would spine

4000 are .350, 29-3/4" BOP with the weight tubes

670 grains total weight - 460 grain without the weight tubes.

I also found some ICS 340 Classics.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just seeing which bow they would fly out of.

Shrew 58# @28 and I shoot 28.5"

ACS - 54# @ 28 and 28.5"

I will test them, but just curiuos what spine they would come out to.

That would be hard to say,the 4000 have a static spine of .350 at 28" centers. There is no formula to know what the spine is at 29.75",that would be dynamic spine.Only way I know the get dynamic spine is to shoot them and see how they fly.Carbons don't come in as many spines as wood or aluminum. So you start with a  basic static spine and adjust the dynamic spine by shooting, trimming or adding weight upfront until you get the flight you want.
