Thanks Danny! New to me Morrison...
« on: February 19, 2009, 09:20:00 PM »
As many of you know, I'm more of a longbow shooter and have recently went back to my Morrison's.  I have several 62" Shawnee's and also recently picked up a 62" Cougar.  But, I've been in the market to find a shorter bow for them times when the 62" bows are a bit to long.  Specifically I was looking for a Shawnee Arapaho in the 58" - 60" range.  But low and behold Danny put his Cheyenne up on the block in the classifieds, and at a price I couldn't pass up.  So, $'s went one way and the bow went another and now I'm the proud new owner of a 58" Cheyenne.  B-riser with B limbs, Macassur Ebony riser with Bocote Flare, #'s out at 69# at my draw, and is silky smooth with it's bamboo limbs with Texas King snakes on the back and ebony veneers on the belly.  Plus it has Kudu tips, and antler knobs from our very own "Stickshooter".  Capped off with an Eagle's flight quiver shooting Gold Tips.  Simply put, it was like meeting an old friend the first time we went out to shoot.  Just had to share with you all...

Beautiful looking bow. The one thing that I wonder about is why Bob doesn't make limbs so they fit the riser though...? The limb and the riser surface where the limb fits on...the limb doesn't cover the whole flat area on the riser...? I must just be too picky.

Jeff,

You da man!! Absolutely, a terrific looking riser. One of these days maybe I'll have one of those in my stable. Very nice!

;)   Kinda why I wanted the shorter bow Curt, Robert's truck doesn't have a bed on it so all the bows ride in the cab and my longbow at 62" was a bit of a problem...

May I compliment you here on your excellent taste in bow woods?
