Can you shoot off the shelf with this bow, or does it require an elevated rest.

You can shoot it off the shelf-it has a slight radius to it. It also comes with a piece of stick-on shelf material that gives the arrow a little more clearance off the shelf---kinda like when you build up the shelf by placing a peice of leather or a matchstick under the shelf rest.

i shoot all mine off the shelf. i use velcro for a rug and those lil felt furniture pads for a strike plate...you can get them at lowes

i love em. thats why now all i own are 4 bows...3 hoyt gamemaster 2's and 1 bear k-mag( for bowfishing)
. they perform very well and although some think they look futuristic, i like the looks of them and they are bulletproof.
