It may only be my observation, but it seems to me that there are alot of guys trying to sell some nice bows in the classifieds these days- but few seem to be selling. The less expensive are selling, but not the more expensive ones- not like a few months ago. If you look closely, many of the listings moving through the rotation are guys wanting to bump their listing up- which is normal. But seems that there have been alot of nice bows going through the clasifieds, at some pretty sweet prices- but many don't get sold.
Maybe I'm reading into it, but seems that some guys are selling their pride and joy, having to get whatever they can for it. Shameful reflection of the economic realities they are facing.

I agree with Greyfox54..Alot of people are hurting out there right now and the ones that are not are making due and holding onto what they now have including their cash.

I just drove two hours of country roads on my way to see a customer. I was amazed at all the boats, cars, trucks, and tractors for sale in peoples yards. Times are tough.

Yep, Tough times but a man with a stick, string, and a few arrows will survive. We've been through it all before. we'll all ban together and we;ll make it through again. Just gotta turn off the news. It does nothing but drive a man into the most negative recesses of the fearful mind.

It may sound lopsided right now but I think the best way a guy can spend a few coins is to go hunting now. I am personally seeing very stressed people coming into camp on day one leave on the last day of the hunt with new-found vigor and much less stressed. Do what you can afford now and worry about the rest if and when it ever arrives. God bless us all-Biggie too!   :D  CK

The toys are the frist to go on a larger scale just think of if you were one of the one who had money to take advanage. big land deals custom cars things of this nature.the rich get richer. I tell my wife my bows bring meat to the table.she says your right honey but what about the other four thats when I get up an run out of the room

i drive for UPS and do 42 pick ups at the end of the day from local companys. they are hurting as well, big time! i'm not picking up 1/4 of what i normally do, been like this for about a full year now, the local economy is in the crapper and i see it every day. the only place that is still VERY busy is a syringe/needle company, i could only guess that along with less cash peoples health also takes a hit.

Folks, the crash in the residential real-estate market will be dwarfed by the comming commercial real-estate crash. 2009 will be a year to remember.
Take stock in what you are capable of doing. Have faith in the higher good. People are generally good at heart, and I believe (as I've witnessed numerous times when I worked as a Dept. of Forestry firefighter) that in time of need perfect strangers become angels.
I've read of many a good deed on this website, and I feel confident that most of you are the caliber of people who reflect the work of Spirit amongst us.
God bless us all.

The thing that bugs me is when a guy who is seriously hurting post one of his bows for a more than fair price and people try to use his situation to make him sell it cheaper.  I am not saying to stop looking for a good deal.  Just be fair and descent.  Kinda like not taking a man's cloak, leaving him naked, when he owed you money in the Bible.

Economic peaks and valleys are nothing new, I think this one is getting a lot more attention because the govt seems to think they have all the answers, when it is the govt that created it in the first place. We will get through it, I'm so sick of listening to elected talking heads running this country into the ground with their doom and gloom and snake oil sales tactics as they try to continue ti drive us into socialism.

Just saw last night that there is another bill being introduced to require registration of all handguns. Here we go!

I was just advised today that our company will not be giving raises this year. At least I still have a job for now but my extra curricular activities are going to be very limited this year.

i haven't been able to find any work since i was discharged from the navy in november....
the only reason i can keep doing trad bow is because i've learned to make everything myself..
this is one of the few hobby's that can cost you relativly nothing. that and there are so many great trad guys/gal's that are willing to help a fellow tradganger out by donating their extras.
