life size elk target??? How big???

I want to make an cardboard version of a life size elk target.
Can someone tell me the average size of an adult bull elk? Length, depth from hump to brisket??

Anything bigger than a football is merely background. I hunt primarily elk and my favorite target is a plastic-stuffed bean bag (gunnysack)turned on its side, approximating the size of an elk's chest and midsection. Drawing in a front leg and shoulder helps a lot to train yourself which spot to pick.
