Securing arrows in a back quiver...
«

I was wondering if anyobody out there has a solution for my aluminum arrows rattling around in my back quiver. I figured I would ask around before dropping any coin. Thanx for any help.

I have just stuffed the quiver full of grass from the area i'm hunting. The arrows do'nt rattle and slide right out. Dick

Hmmph. That -is- a good idea.
Kinda gotten sick of replacing the cotton or wool batting I use; holds moisture anyway.
Thanks for the tip!

If your quiver isn't broken in and limber, the arrows may fall out if you bend down. They'll bang together and maybe flop from side to side. Break in the leather while sitting on it as you drive your car and any other time you think about it. Work it down until it will close at the top and conform to your back. Mink oil will take some starch out even heavy leather.

Yeah, if you can't bend over at the waist and tie your shoes without dumping arrows all over then the back quiver is too stiff or not tight enough to your back.

Yah my quiver ain't broke in just yet, but my biggest concern was keeping my broadheads from rubbin together. I put to much damn time into sharpening them to let them dull up that way.
