stumpin with new flat bow
« on: March 18, 2009, 09:21:00 AM »
I got out of the shop and took my new flatbow design out for some "field trials". Passed with flying colors.
This was what I worked on this winter and so far it is an awesome bow. When I get it closer to done I will post it up here to show and tell you about it.

I just did some flight shooting at lunch time and I put a 450gn arrow a few steps past 300yds. Not bad eh? It is kind of hard to see but just to the left of the top limb, in the first pic up top, is a nice buck rub. This pic is from this morning.
I am happy with this bow, It is very Quiet, smooth(dead in the hand) and sends an arrow to the mark with authority.

This is another pic of my 50" Ambush and the new flat bow on some osage logs outside my shop. Mike pyeatt and I picked up the osage a few weeks ago. The flatbow is a 62" version,42#@28". The Ambush is 50", 54#@28". I pull 30"+(most of the time).
Thanks, Chuck

Chuck, I am hoping to.  I haven't made it to that side of the state since Christmas but hopefully soon I can make it.
