I have a new Mike Treadway Black Swamp Bow and when I shoot it the feather hits my hand and cuts it.

Check your nock set, brace height, and/or put a small piece of surgical tube under the rug to slightly elevate the shaft. Good luck.

Raise your nocking point. I had the same problem earlier this year, raising it about 1/4" (to 1/2" overall) did the trick.

You can also change your feathers. Right wing to left or left wing to right .

I've been seeing a lot of these lately on TG. The angle of the grip, particularly on the outside where your fingers wrap, looks kind of strange. Been wondering how it feels...

Looks like your bow is right handed so I agree with harmless , change your feathers from right wing to left . If I shoot my shrew with right wing feathers it will cut my hand also . The shelf on the shrew and on your treadway set so close to the hand ( which is a goood thing ), big feathers will clip your hand unless you use left wing ( for a right hand shooter ). Byron Fergeson also talks about using left wing feathers in his book become the arrow .

A thicker arrow shelf rest material will help as well.Worked for me on a bow I was having the same problem with even when I tried higher nock setting.I shoot left wing and am right handed.A thicker rest will work I believe if those other options dont.

Had the same problem with a widow, raised the knock point and solved the problem.

I have the same problem with my Black Swamp. I'm right handed and shoot right wing feathers. I started shooting cock feather in, and it solved the problem. You also could put something under the rest to raise it a little bit. On my Horne Brushbow, I have a thin piece of leather under the rest. It raises the arrow just enough to clear my hand.
