hoyt dorado...my new bow.
« on: March 22, 2009, 02:47:00 AM »
got myself a new dorado yesterday....after years of shooting Straight limb Hill style bows i've ventured forth and got myself a new recurve. after several affairs with recurves by Wallace, Widow and Lee i've found my new bow. growing up i had many Hoyt bows [ 'curves and compounds ]and this new bow shoots like a dream. the riser fits in the hand beautifully and even without silencers it shoots a 2018 / 125gn blunt with quietly and with authority. as i'm a "no camo" hunter i got the black and maple version and was stacking arrows in a 6inch group at 24 metres like i have not been able to in years. i'm already looking at getting a 2nd set of limbs so i can set it up as my new hunting rig.it's my new no 1 bow and that's without even setting it up yet..... the poundage has come in a bit heavier than marked [ reads 55# @ 28"...actual 59#]..... it kinda takes me back to an old metal handled bear i used to have that was my go to [and only] bow for a good 4 years...thankyou Hoyt!!!!!

cheers Ben

Where's the pic's???  I have never seen one here in Australia so you had better front up with the goodies!! LOL

My mate in Melbourne is trying to get his grimey maulers on one so I may get to play with one yet!
