I’m thinking about a Badlands Monster Pack
Arrow saw
Left wing clamp for my Jo-Jan fletcher
L-wing feathers, R-wing feathers
Broadheads
GPS Nav. Unit
New scope for a gun
Boots for the cold weather
Camo…always looking to get camo of some sort
Fishing supplies

I can get most of the smaller stuff whenever I have some extra money but a lot of above takes a lot of money…I could save up and get a more expensive item.

So what would you get?  Not from above but from your list of “wanted” items.

Okay, George D. Stout, this quote is for you. We are no longer limited to the two items at the beginning in the first post. So throw that out the window. You use a hack saw to cut your arrows?

Funny…if I buy something for hunting I’ll usually hand my wife an envelope of cash...never hear a word about what I buy if I do this.  If I sell something to get something that is okay…but if I use neutral funds then she gets to spend the same in return.

Granted this costs me more in the long run and my friends think I'm absolutely nuts...but it's "our" money so she deserves things to.

Cabela's doesn't sell Bison Gear...or I would consider them! (or at least that I have seen or in this case not seen.  "[dntthnk]"  )

I have to be able to use my gift card.

Buy the pack, I use a dremel tool with a 11/2 inch cut  off wheel, just clamp my dremel in bench vise, mark arrows, zip them across. The big cutoff wheels/5 and arbor was $2.50 at the local Harbor Freight.

Well if I had a $200 Cabelas card right now I'd probably get a couple of 3D targets because all I have is a bag target. Like others have said, you can cut arrows fine with a dremel and a homemade jig. It's your gift card so don't get one or the other just because everyone on here says you should get it.

Avoid the sleepless nights and donate the certificate for use in the TG St. Jude's Children's Auction.    ;)

If you do, Earl Hickey will make sure you get a visit from Karma and get double the value.  :goldtooth:

i would get the saw cause you already have a pack that nothing is wrong with but the idea of a new one you don't have a saw can use bot but you don't absalutly need a pack if you already have one right

Unless you're making arrows commercially you don't really need a cut off saw - if you did the Indians would have all starved to death - or even worse become vegetarians.  You've got a good pack, so if it was me and I was limited to buying at Cabela's I'd go with the 3D targets. Good shooting practice can never hurt.

Perhaps you could contact the fine folks at Bison Gear and maybe they would be willing to trade a pack for your Cabelas gift card.
If they would go for the barter deal your problem is solved... You've got a new pack, and they now have to decide how to spend the card!
It's no longer burning a hole in your pocket!!!
Couldn't be any easier, Bison Gear are you listening?   :biglaugh:

If you did that, then we could bust Angelo about how to spend it.  By the way,  I hope that Josh forgets what I said by this fall when he is at bear camp in my Cabelas tent that was made in china.  I guess the Glock goes under the pillow just in case.  JD

Hee heeee!  I got my Apple Cutoff saw at a yard sale for 30 bucks.....  Practically brand new too!

Now, the 3D targets is a good idea but I'd be checking the bargain cave for used wool or a Double Bull Matrix ground blind.  At our Cabellas, the DB's are close to $400 but in the bargain cave they usually have a couple for $289.  Especially shortly after Christmas. You've got $200 free money so it'd be like getting a DB blind for 89 bucks!  If you have kids, it's the best way there is to take them hunting.
Dave

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

I've got blind covered...Double Bull Matrix "Recurve" addition and a T2, but not a bad thought!

Still deciding!

Here's a novel idea.  Cabelas certificates don't expire so why don't you set it aside until you really need something?  Why is it burning a whole in your pocket?

Trust me, a couple months from now you will find something that you REALLY need and you will wish you still had your certificates.

Lenny
