I have been tuning some 500's They are cut to 28" and are being shot out of a 52# bow. With 175 gr. to 200 gr. tips they are bare-shaft tuning. I had originally planned to use them with some 65# limbs but I might have to step up. According to the "correct" spine charts on the online retailer selling them, the 500's are spined for 60-70 lb bows. If you want to use a heavy head you might want to move up a spine group.

I have been tuning some for a 52# PLX cut them to 28" (I draw 27") and had to move the side rest out about a tooth pick to get them tuned. Like Ks said you might want to go with the 400.

Heck, I tried 300,400 and 500 out of my 62-64# bows and could not get any of them to fly correctly, I gave up on grizz sticks. I will stick with AD trads and CE Heritage 250s.
