OK heres the Facts:
My Bow: A&H ACS 53# @ 28" .........I draw 27"to the back of the handle.  Keep in mind this bow is very efficient. My 3555's 30" with 145's fly like lasers from this bow...FAST and Straight, just too light for hunting.

Hunting: Elk, Mule deer and Black bear... So Obviously Looking for a heavy Arrow with a fairly reasonable/ High FOC.

#1 Arrow of consideration, easton Full metal Jacket..... thinking 100gr inserts with 150Gr tip or Higher (Or simply just the standard insert with Heavy heads, either way) 340 or 400?

#2 Grizzlysitk Alsakan, (I tried the Sitkas with my 50# limbs and they were rediculously weak)

So let the answers and Opinions Fly....

I would think the 400's. I usually shoot 50-52# bows at my 28" draw length. I have been shooting Beman Classic 400's, cut to 29.5", 100gr. Brass inserts, and 145gr. field points. And they fly like darts out of my bows.

I have a friend right here in fort collins that shoots the 3555s with 125 grain heads out of a #53 longbow and laces elk, muleys, caribou and even a mountain goat he drew finally and has pass thrus and never penetration probs at all. He uses 2 blade magnus. Hopefully that helps.

If it is shooting that arrow well I would just get some of the Aquarium tubing from Wal Mart and slip it in their that arrow will way a ton.  You could also take full length pieces of weedeater string and put it in there.  people say it has no effect on arrow flight.  I bought the 7.62 size Aquarium tubing today for less than 3 dollars and it fits nice and snugg in the 3555 Goldtip.  Dats what I would do.
