Question about black widow tiller
« on: April 04, 2009, 06:49:00 AM »
Hello,

I'm going to buy a used black widow PMA in very good condition.

But I've got a queston: a bow that was made for shooting "3 fingers under" could be used for shooting 2 fingers under and one finger on the top of the nock-set ?

 Thanks

This is from the Black Widow website under frequently asked questions.  I realize it is the opposite of your situation, but the end answer is still the same.  You will probably not need a higher nock point or have any additional noise going from 3 under tiller to split finger shooting though.
Q: “My bow has standard tiller. Can I shoot it 3 fingers under?”

A: Yes. You will not damage the bow. It may require a higher nock height and may make your bow a little louder. There is a 1/8" difference in standard tiller and 3 fingers under. Most bows, people can shoot either way.

I saw this reply on BW website but I was not sure it would be safe on my bow as it's the opposite of my situation.

Thanks for learning me the words: "split finger"
I' m french and I didn't know how to tell this position of the fingers on the string.

  Thanks
Christophe

It will be safe,no problem. You should be able to tune it fine also.Probably just have a lower nock point than you normaly use.
