I thank you in advance for responding to the same questions always prompted by newbies.
So, I have been using wood for a while and now I want to switch to carbon or aluminum. Right now I am shooting a 55 pound bear montana longbow. I don't know what to do with tip weight or arrow length. My arrows are normally 29 1/2" from throat of nock to back of point. I use 125 grain tips, but I heard that is not enough to get the proper bend.
I guess I am looking for what size carbon arrow to buy and how heavy the tip needs to be.
Also, do you guys use heavier inserts with heavier tips? One last question, will weight tubes affect the spine? I want to hunt traditionally someday.
Thanks, Arthur
