When you put the skins on a longbow, do you remove the leather grip or just glue it on up to it? I'm gettin ready to do my longbow, but the leather is well worn in, and I really don't want to take it off if I don't need to, but I want to do it right when I put the skin on.
Awesome pics, I really love the look of the skins. I'm doin mine with Prairie Rattler.

The best bows for snake skins are those with 'snakey' grain, IMO.
Good Camo...

You could do it if you were careful without removing the handle wrap. Cut the skin just long enough to go over your handle wrap say 1/8 of an inch and then glue and tuck under the leather on the handle, glue it all down good. But for best results remove handle wrap and butt the two skins together underneath then replance handle wrap.

My only bow, First Attempt...
Seems to be holding up well. I like it better than Camo!
