It floats!
« on: April 13, 2009, 10:39:00 AM »
My buddy Brad and I were hunting on the river yesterday afternoon.  The river is way out of the banks, and the swamp is flooded.  While navigating through an especially thick and brushy tree top, my bow was yanked from the boat.  My buddy lunged, but missed it.  He almost went over the side after it.  He couldn't believe that I didn't react as fast as he did.  When I yanked him back in the boat, and sent him back to his seat, he exclaimed very surprisedly, "your bow floats"!  I turned the boat around and went to my bow and said, "if it don't float, then it's not a real bow".  He got a kick out of that one!  I was eyeballing his in case my main anchor didn't hold the boat in the current.  :)
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!
