Cyrille, you can get the BW at the poundage you want for a few $$$$ more, they have that option.

Yes, I know. But I had planned on spending a wee bit more than $1100.00 and that includes shipping and 1 dozen Easton aluminium arrows fletched with inserts and nocks. Northern Maine eh. I have a niece that lives up your way but I doubt that you would know her.

They both shoot great. $900 dollars over 10  years of fun is cheap enertainment.
I don't know when you bought your bows but it must have been a while ago. Now I would have to spend almost twice that for 2 BW bows and I ain't that positive that I have twenty years or so left to even things out.

I have a widow recurve, ironwood PSA 51@28, which I draw to 29 inches. I shoot surewood 55-60 shafts with 160 stos broadheads. Shoots like a dream! I use a 14 strand dacron string, no silencers.

My bow is fast, and so quiet. Even with the dacron string, it is really quite fast, and all I see is a tightly spinning circle of yellow feathers.............

shoot the wood.

Cyrille, that's an iphone mistake, that should have been $900.00 a piece give or take a little. The point being they will last a long time.
I always hit where I'm aiming, but rarely where I'm looking.

Cyrille, sorry been out of town, seems you've made up your mind. In answer to your question no handshock, it will take a heavier arrow, widow makes a good one.

Thanks lilbobby what do you shoot, aluminium, carbon, graphite or wood?  I am a woodie myself If you by chance shoot wood what is the grain weight of your complete arrow, what is the spine weight? You guys are tempting me, drawing me more and more toward the LB. But I've had limited experence with the LB and it has not been good. I've shot recurves off and on since the early 1950's won a few competitions with 'em. (target bows only, not hunting bows)
I'm not "putting down" BW LBs I'm sure they are everything you want them to be, and a quasi-new experence would be a welcome change. However, even though I'm sorely tempted to buy one, as of now I believe I'll have to opt for the recurve.

Cyrille I own a bw longbow 45 at 28 and draw alittle less than 29 which puts me around 48. I shoot 30 inch wood arrows at 520 grains,Shoots great with no hand shock. The bow is cut a little past center and likes 60 to 65 spine. I have shot aluminum in past and 2215s,2117s and even 2216s work. You coming to Real Thing ? I will b there.

No, I'll not be there because I have yet to order the bow. As I told the fellow at Black Widow Bows, I'm waiting for my tax refund before ordering. Hopefully it'll be here next month!
What is the "stacking" ratio my DL is 29 2/3" so with a 45# bow I would probably be holding 50-52#s
