Question for everyone
« on: April 18, 2009, 12:38:00 AM »
Some of you already know, but I am revamping my limbsations.  I am using a new material, this eliminates the need to get the back of the limbsation wet before applying.

The new material had a couple of benefits.  One, it has air channels to release the air so no bubbles, two its removable, so if you don't get them lined up straight just peel them up and start over.  Plus they are coming laminated with a matte laminate.  This keeps the shine down and they will wear like iron.

Over the last couple of months I have sent out several sets for people to try and have received good feed back.

Any, I am also thinking of sending them out more tapered like a real skin, but I need to know how wide are the tips of most recurves.  So guys please answer that for me.  Sorry all I have are black widows.

In a couple of weeks I will be revamping the website and offering them in 4 different sizes.

Thanks,

Scott

Onestringer, I just measured all the Pittsley Predator limbs I have, and they all come in at about 7/8ths. That measurment is taken just under the overlays. A couple older recurves we have are a bit wider, but still under an inch.

Wife's Kodiak Magnum is 7/8" at same spot.

well the ones i got from scott to test were real awesome. but i could only do part of the test so i gave my bow to a mate of mine and i said to him to put it through hell and back. and he did just that. hear is the feed back scott.
1- realism = they look real
2- durable = they sure are  cant fault them
3- are they shiny = no they are not it is a nice mat finish.
4- size for bow = for my 60" longbow they were sufficient.
5- price current $20 new price $26 per set and that will incl shipping. = this i think is a fair price.
6- do they stay on corners edges? = yes they sure do
7- are they easy to take off = yes they are easy to take off.
in my opinion they are all that you say they are and do. easy to put on easy to take off and dont mark your finish. they look real and are not shiny and the price is right. so ya dont have to change ya bow every time ya want a new look. and everyone that has seen them think that they are the bees knees thank you for such a great product scott.   :notworthy:   jeff
