Zephyr BH's?

I will be needing some new broadheads this year.  I need a 150 grain head, screw in, two blade.

I've been looking at the Zephyr Sasquatch.  Looks like a nice wide head with good steel.  A little pricey, but if they hold up it's worth it.

Comments?  Other options?

They are awesome.  I have shot them for 10 years now and the only one that was ever even damaged ended up inbetween the ribs and shoulder blade of a bison bull and it had a little curve to the blade when it was retrieved.  They are really tough, get really sharp really easy, and the machined ferrule mounts perfect every time.  The 2 blade Sausquatch chops a huge hole in things with the entrance and exit slices often close to 2 inches in length.  That size slit just doesn't close up.  Being stainless steel they require only about 15 percent of the upkeep work of carbon steel blades to stay sharp and as Pual Brunner said himself, they fly like a frozen rope.  The 4 blade ones are really wicked and the bleeder is only 5 grains more I believe.  It is a very hard brittle steel so if bone is encountered it will shear or brake off so as nnot to impeade penetration.  Definetly worth the money!  Joseph

Another positive vote here, ditto everything Joseph said. In addition, I'm very impressed with how straight they were, all spun perfectly. I did not kill anything with the ones I had but have played with them a good bit, wouldn't hesitate to depend on one.

Well, by weight the Scirocco looks to be my BH for this year.  1 /5/16 is a pretty good sized cut, close to 1/2" bigger than most broadheads I've looked at.


Anyone got a reason NOT to go Zephyr?

I saw the heart of a hog Mark Horne heart-shot with a Sasquatch and it damned near severed the heart in two!    Since then I have been playin around with them a bit and they fly great even in windy conditions, which I thought they would plane a bit, being such a wide head, and they didn't. I'm a believer! They ain't no joke!

I bought some to try this year.I never carried then to the woods.Too fragile and they wind planed worse than most broadheads.I love the fact they were stainless but are no comparision to my Simmons when it comes to good flight from a big broadhead. jmo

I used the sasquatch for 2 years, took a bear and a few deer with it. Its a quick killing head but to fragile for me. After the 1st year I had I think 3 break, thats shooting into critters and foam. After talking to the Hornes, I thought maybe I had gotten them to hot while mounting, so I epoxied them on, still broke a couple. So I am back to my Zwickey Deltas. dont really know why I tried anything else. The Zephur, If tougher would be a very good head.
