a therapeutic Mohawk
« on: May 03, 2009, 07:45:00 AM »
a bit longer than usual and lots lighter in draw weight - 64", 40# @ 28" - a 'rehab' longbow for those unfortunate times when my 'frozen' right shoulder acts up and prevents pulling hunting weight strings.  vince used some beautiful cocobolo and macassar ebony on this 'dark beauty' longbow.  i have no doubt this little popper will make a fine bunny buster bow.

when you figure in the quality of woods, the all cane limb cores and veneers, the trapped limbs covered in clear glass, full wood overlays on all sides of riser and limbs, accent lines in the riser, laced leather grip, superior craftsmanship and that durable fullerplast matte finish, i don't think even vince knows how he can sell a killer longbow for $425.  i don't expect this price tag to last much longer!

I've got my custom from Vince to look forward to, tomorrow.  Vince mailed it out to me, Friday.

Looking forward to getting/shooting it.  I've enjoyed the one i bought to shoot until mine arrived.....and I'll be passing it along to a friend.

I've been really impressed with this bow, period (price notwithstanding).  The fact that it's as affordable as it is.....is a huge bonus.

I don't expect them to be offered at this price for much longer, either (birdy told me).  I'm hoping th eone i've got coming turned out like I have it pictured in my head.

We'll see, tomorrow!

Great looking 40#'er!  You have my wheels turning!

NICE bow Rob!!!!  I got my e-mail from Vince a couple days ago!!! My 66" 38#@28" T/D is all glued up and should be here in a couple of weeks!!!

I head off to Africa at the end of the month for a 7 day plains game hunt and I'm thinking about waiting to shoot it over there for the first time at some stumps on the Dark Continent!!! It would be fitting as it's Zebrawood and Ebony with all bamboo limbs. I'm looking forward to the trip and to the bow with equal excitement!!!

Thanks for the Pics!!! GMMAT, pleass show us yours when it arrives...it will help ease the waiting pains!!!

All the best,

Mike

Nice bow Rob. It's amazing how many decent priced gems are out there right now.

I ordered my first custom bow from Vince back in March. Hopefully I'll have it by the end of the month. I shot a couple of his bows before I ordered this one. His bows shoot as well as ones that cost $200 more. One of the best if not the best deals in archery right now. Great looking, smooth drawing, and accurate.

Yeah...I'll be picking you up before ya know it....

Sorry, didn't see the 'cheap shot' yesterday...just saw it this morning....what a 'shame' a guy can't post about a new bow on a dang hunting forum without someone mouthing off.

Throw a party and invite folks for free... include a big buffet and live music...what kind of guest take a dump on your kitchen floor?  One that don't get invited back that's for sure.

Beauty of a Bow, I really like the looks of the Bow. I'll be getting one in the mail this week from GMMAT, I can't wait to get to shoot her! If she shoots as good as she looks I'll be a proud owner of a Mohawk!
