I know they're not very traditional, but I am wondering if the Magnus Bullhead (i.e. guillotine style) broadheads would work from a longbow? For some reason I thought a fellow TradGanger had explained why they were not a good choice from a longbow, but I can't find the thread. Maybe I dreamt it?
If using this type of broadhead, I assume shooting through the mesh of a DB type blind would not work very well, due to the large blade area? Any experiences would be appreciated.

I have a buddy that hunts with them for turkeys. He let me shoot one and the flight was ok. Not as good as my broadheads but ok. They did fall off drastically out past 20 yards. You can not shoot them through mesh at all. My friend tried with his compound and it didn't work.
Also you can't shoot a bird in the body with them either. They will just bounce off them. So it's a head shot or nothing.

You cannot shoot them thru the mesh.
If your arrows are tuned for 125g broadheads properly, then the 125g Bullhead is going to fly the same. At least that is what I have seen. If they don't fly properly, you are not quite tuned.

I've been shooting them and I think they will be destroyed by the time season is over. A few "practice shots" and a few misses. I hit a small tree... almost a shrub and messed one up good. I see why they break / bend but figured they would hold up a little better than they are.
Seem to shoot ok though if i could hit a turkey head with one anyway.
