Bearpaw arrows
« on: May 05, 2009, 09:10:00 PM »
I have been considering purchasing some arrows from Mel at Bear paw Arrows. Has anyone tried these and did they make any difference. I am also looking at Whispering wind for some footed shafts. I make all my own arrows but have not gotten the consistency that I would like. Thanks in advance.

Stacy,
I bought a doz 2 years ago. Very nice workmanship, something one enjoys having in the quiver. I was able to get all 12 to shoot very consistently, better then my AL. Though they are lighter then I like to hunt elk with I used them becouse they tuned the best of all my shafts. My only concern was that the doz, though spined to 1-2# varied in weight up to 40 grains, which realisticaly wasn't an issue. I am carefully hoarding my last 5 arrows for the State Jamboree this summer.
