1 PM Sunday 'Meet & Greet' for Trad Gang'rs outside the lodge for any and all to introduce yourself.  There has been good pre-registration from what I have heard and it should be a hoot!

I posted this in the Trad Events forum as well.  See ya'll on the mountain!

Sorry I'm gonna miss you all.   Was eagerly looking forward to it, but they say that with age comes wisdom and I think I may be the victim of that syndrome.   I got no takers to replace my shotgun rider and I've been kind of down on the health/strength meter this past week or so.   They took me off of the new drug but it's going to take me a couple of months or so before I get back to where I was... I hope.   Meantime, Ann isn't at all happy about my driving 600 miles through a lot of very lonely country by myself, and I have to admit she may have a point.    I think I'm going to have to take a pass on the Western Regional.  I was really looking forward to getting a shirt and maybe one of the Idaho club patches for my collection.

I did find a nice little shoot in Hood River, OR the same weekend... Appleknocker Bowmen.   That's only 140 miles and settled up country with lots of stopping places and emergency services all the way.   It's a two dayer, and to be honest, at a 3 day shoot, I'm usually worn out by the last day, shoot one early morning round and then start home.

I guess when you come to down to it, one group of foam animals put out in the woods is pretty much like another.  I was really looking forward to a large gathering and lots of vendors, though.   Ah, well.  Maybe the Western or the NALS will come back to WA or OR next year.  I love meeting guys from the lists...
