You hear the same thing again and again from Bob Lee owners--they're not the fastest and not the prettiest but they are reliable straight shooters and most describe them as their go-to bows. I have owned a number of bows, from Bear Grizzlies all the way up to and including a Shrew, several Black Widows and others. I love my BW LAG but I shoot my Bob Lee Hunter TD longbow better. The weight of the riser (short riser) and the grip are perfect for me, and it shoots straight every time. Great customer service, too.

This is my bob lee. 65 @29. Love my bob lee. I hope the pic dosn't offend. If does I guess it will be deleted. This also was my firs whitetail taken this past season. I did not purposely aim at the neck. He was quartering away from me underneath a bunch of mesquite branches and I guess my arrow glanced off a branch, Im really not sure. I just heard a huge CRACKE and the buck dropped. Gilbert

Yea Huntryx, I hear the same out here also. I guess I will stick with my Bob Lee's and not worry about the others.

Amicus, you must have the twin to my hunter. May I ask what arrow are you shooting.

Im a fan of the Bob Lee's as well! I made limb bolts for mine. I cut 1 inch long pieces of an allen wrench and epoxied them into the bolt head and drilled out my burs and epoxied them to the piece of wrench sticking out of the bolt and clamped it together with a c-clamp till it dried. They look ok and have held up 2 years now. Here's a picture but it doesn't show them real well.

Another kinda picture of the limb bolts.

If you need any extra bolts to try making some let me know I have several sets laying around!

i've had numerous bob lees(bob lee and rob lee) wish i still had the bob's made bows - great bows. but i remember when they went from aluminum inserts to some kind of plastic insert. i did not like them so i modified a black widow insert and used it. and for my bolt on quiver i made an insert with a longer neck. i don't know if it really helped to sturdy things up or if it was a mind-set kind of thing. but it made me feel better about my bow. even after i found out that i could get more alum. inserts from bob lee i still used my BW inserts. they really looked good on my brown riser.

I have a 62" signature elite longbow 55#@28".  I love it, I have been shooting it more consistently than any bow I have ever shot. and I'll probably be taking it to canada in 3 weeks for bearquest.  My only Beef with the bow Is how loud it is.  even with limb savers & string leeches it's still pretty loud..I'v tried all methods.
Anyway the point is reguardless, I really enjoy it and it will be part of my arsenal for a while..

My 58" T/D longbow came today. It's neat, got to get used to the wieght of the riser but its really neat. My Carbons at 525grs really zoom out of this thing... I'm impressed. Can't wait to get more friendly with it.

I'm considering a longbow. I'm surprised to hear the longbow would be loud. Anyone else have that issue?

Only having shot it a bit I was surprised how loud it was. But I have already add some fir and super leeches and it helped. I'll mess with the brace next, it's not bad now.

Bringing this topic back to the top, because Bob Lee has some truly great deals on the website (bobleebows.net) that deserve our attention--I am frustrated that I can't find the one I want, but maybe you guys will. This is an opportunity to own a world class bow for a really good price.
