Help me pick out a new bow.
« on: May 19, 2009, 05:18:00 PM »
Im looking for a new bow. I want one made for me, Im having a hard time finding what I want second hand. I prefer fiberglass long bows, a take down would be nice. I like a bow that weighs between 1.5 lbs and 2.0 lbs and is 60"+. I dont have alot to spend so It has to be reasonably priced, say less than $500. Low wait time is a plus. We all like fast bows so that matters. And most importantly from a small time bowyer. I know there are bowyers out there that meet this criteria. Help me out guys!

For 5 Bones I would go with Northern Mist, Mohawk, Dwyer, Howard Hill. Small time? You decide. But you'd be hard pressed to find a better bow for the money ( for any money for that matter).

Mohawk, Whisperstick, and Kohannah.

You're going to get a lot of different responses here. Why not try and shoot a few and find the one that fits you best? Inquire with the different bowyers. Some of them have a try before you buy system.
