Turkeys 1, Hunter 0

Turkey season is over for this guy. Not even a feather to show for about 20 days in the woods. I did manage to shoot over a jake, but that was the only arrow released in anger the whole time. But time spent was hardly time wasted. I had a great time in the woods, burned quite a few calories, and got in a good amount of stump shooting.
It's always nice to see the spring flowers blooming.

And seeing the forest turn from snow covered to green is a plus.

And finally, the aspens and cottonwoods return to their summer colors. All is well in the world when you can spend time in the outdoors.

If you are like me and are eating store bought turkey this spring, be glad for the opportunity to be out there trying.
If you don't like cops, next time you need help, call Al Sharpton
