Clue me in, Texas sweat, St judes??

Guys Im new ,and for the most part dont know a soul on here.  Im all good with that as there seems to be alot of cool people to meet.

Here is my problem.  Alot of yall seem to talk about stuff that if you have been on the site for a while you would know about.  I however didnt find this site but just a few months ago, and for the most part dont know what yall are talking about.

I understand there is to be a auction for St Jude.  That is a a great idea.  I have gave to them for a long time.  I had a brother die from cancer when I was very young and have knew about them since then.  Here is the question??

When is the auction?  Whats being auctioned off? How does it work?

Another thing what is Texas Sweat.  I read a little bit of the thread but gave up?

MIght sound like a stupid questions, for you guys that have been around for awhile, but for me I dont have a clue.

The auction is in the beginning of June. We donate what we can and bid on it, it runs for a week or so. Go here to see what it's like.

The Texas Sweat is a yearly hunt that gives folks from here a chance to meet. Get on the list early as possible if you want in. To say it's popular would be an understatement.

I'm sure it can be a bit confusing to someone  new here like yourself, but well worth following.  

The links above will give you the details, but breifly, St. Judes auction is in early June each year, and TG members put items up for bids.  Lots of cool stuff, some archery related, others not, but all great items.  Bids are submitted online until a specificed deadline, and the highest bidder wins the item.  All proceeds go to St. Judes.

Curtis's link about the Sweat Origins explains where it started, and it has ended up as one of the best trips a person could take, bar none.  Doesn't matter what is being hunted where, it is a chance to meet and hunt with a wide variety of people from all over that could never occur any other way.

Definately well worth taking the time to read about both of them.  They are perfect examples of what this site is all about, although there are plenty of other opportunities to get involved as well.
