Why not?  I bet you got a friend that could hook you up with a sample to try before you buy...

I've had the best luck if I go ahead and put a good finish on the entire shaft and then make sure the shaft is real smooth or the little bumps on the arrow will show through the wrap.

Mike, they work real nice. I usually seal the shaft first and they stick great! Shawn

Thanks Lefty, What I recomend when wrapping woodies is just to make sure that the shafts are sealed then wrap them. They will work on raw wood but over a sealed shaft wil last a lot longer. Tha goes for any brand wraps..

Do they work well on tapered wood shafts?

Now that Onestringer's getting us properly long trad wraps, I've also started using them on woodies with great results.

steadman, even tapered ones no problem.  I thought they might go on crooked, but they don't seem to, can't explain it, but it works!

I spent $2.46 on a roll of contact paper 24" x 10 yards long. I rolled it out and "crested" it while flat with sharpies and a yard stick. Then I cut it to 9" x 1.25" (or 1.5" if you prefer). I strip the back and lay them on a mouse pad and roll them on my arrows. I fletch with fletch tight and have done finished wood, unfinnished wood, and amuminum with feathers and veins. I've shot these arrows somewhere between 50 and 75 times each so far and haven't had a single issue yet.

Wingnut here are some I made on wood. They are BW look alikes.  I designed the wrap and then had Arrow Wraps Unlimted make them for me.  You will have no problem on woodies.
