Got mine too. I am lucky in that I have access through a gated access. Beyond the private land is lots of public. There are other ways to enter but it helps coming in from the gated side. The elk get used to the hunting coming on from the open side. At least thats my take on it.
Some nice bulls there too..

It took 4 years Dave, but I finally drew a pretty good unit this time in a wilderness area. My buddy Mike Mitten pointed me in the right direction last year where we could do a DIY hunt in an OTC unit. Doing a drop camp hunt this year.

Preference point only so I'm leaving tomorrow to look over 2 OTC units. One of these I hunted until '06 so I'm going back to an old haunt...... leaving the San Juans,they've gotten too crowded,IMO.
