Not Exactly a Robin Hood ;-)

Hi All!

As I'm reading a post by econnell71 where he's just "Robin Hooded" one of his arrows

 http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=074712

I'm reminded of a time I took the only newly purchased aluminum arrows I ever owned, out to do a little shooting.  I only had a short while to shoot, so decided to go into a near-by field to shoot, and not wanting to drag a target box, simply took a piece of cardboard about 18" square and a marker to draw a bullseye.  Arriving, I cast about for a stick or two to prop up the target, but after a few minutes frustration, decided to take one of my new arrows to support the target.  I bent a flap of cardboard about an inch wide back at the top and bottom of the target, ran the arrow through the flaps and stuck it into the ground.  I assumed that I'd be all over the target with new arrows, and so ran the support directly down the center line of the target behind the bullseye.  Backing off to about ten yards, I began shooting, and much to my surprise, my target collapsed on the third shot.  A quick inspection showed that my support arrow had been cut cleanly into two pieces!  Much mortification!!!! :-)
