A bear recovery.. (vid)

I shot this myself on my digital pic camera last May in Alberta, longbow Black Bear. After a POC pass through my bear ran into a swamp so thick I couldn't see which way it ran. After the guide came in to get me we tried and could not find the bear in the thick stuff... No blood what so ever. Ten minutes later this is what we were lucky to find.. I mean; how often would you ever look 25' above the ground trying to find an animal that was shot perfectly?
I just went back to highspeed so I uploaded this video.

I just hunted up there with them the week before Memorial day and they told us this story. It was a blast and they are great people.

Scott,
The bear that I killed that ran up the tree was killed off of bait #5.. I had bears in on me every time I sat that bait. A bunch of fun in Alberta.
Did you have a favorite bait?

I had my best luck at #19. I killed one there and screwed up on another.
A buddy of mine and my brother both sat #5 and passed up the only bear that came in those nights, a beautiful young blonde.
It was a blast and I'd like to head back some time.
They also seem to kill some aweful nice whitetails up there by the looks of the racks laying outside!!

Flying into Edmonton I sat next to two guys from the east coast. They told me they have been coming to Alberta the past four years to hunt huge whitetails with rifles.. Alberta is a big deer paradise.
Yes Bear Trap is a great place. If I ever do a baited bear trip again, I will go back.
