What are you using for a 4" 36 dip tank. I use Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane. I looked at Bohnings dip tank but its pricey. I looking for something  to use that wont let the contents leak out if I leave it charged for a week or two.

PVC tubing works great. and is fairly cheap. you can get glue on end caps and screw off caps. I have made a couple. 11/2" pipe and 2" pipe. Be carefully getting any runoff on the removable cap as it will lock up when it drys

I just ordered the large dip tank from 3Rivers and the special gasket that goes with it, and frankly, I've got the same question?  What do folks find is the best seal to work with a dip tank?
