Im new to traditional archery and was wondering if there was any of you guys that would ever want to get together and shoot or just help me learn more about these stick bows. I just took some lessons from Rod Jenkins and i shoot almost every day but would like to shoot with someone other than compound shooters.

Joe, I am in Wetumpka(about 2hr south), not exactly able to shoot in B'ham much, BUT you should try to make it to the Howard Hill shoot this weekend at Tannehill State Park. It is a huge shoot, one of the best anywhere. You can shoot with a lot of other trad shooters, and I'll bet you'll run into plenty of folks from the area.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

Welcome to a great community, Joe. You'll make great friends and have a blast. If your new to trad archery the first thing you need to do is go to a shoot. Remember Christmas when you were a kid... it's like that. Howard Hill will a great one. I'll be there.

Joe,
I live in B'ham and I am new to trad archery as well. Just got interested last Summer. Definitely try to get to the Howard Hill shoot at Tannehill this weekend. I plan on being there bright and early in the morning.
Craig.
