Bear Black Panther bow # ?
« on: June 05, 2009, 08:17:00 PM »
I am shooting a Bear Black Panther 40/45#. My draw length is 27. My guess would be I am pulling around 42# not sure though. Just wondering if this is enough power to kill whitetail. Arrows are 2013 XX75 cut to 28.5in with 150 up front. I have injured my left shoulder shooting my 50# Shakespear Wambaw. Not it is on the bow rack. I think I will stick with 45# bows.

It's enough.  Put it in the boiler room with a sharp broadhead and your blood trail will be short.

The 40/45 designation was an estimation, the real weight was written behind the side plate, as were all Bear bows.  Even at 42#, you have plenty of punch for deer.
