Buckeye Bonefishing
«

It was far too nice a day to be working so Mike (Arrow k9) and I decided it was better spent on the water. The lake looked pretty good...
Our quarry was quick to show itself. The white along the shore is splashing water.
It didn't take too long to connect!
My turn to provide some expert guiding...
Mike getting ready...
and success!!
We ended up bringing four to the boat, having another four spin off, and mmmmmmmmmmmissing plenty!

That's why we call them Buckeye Bonefish! I love flyfishing for carp. They're just like bonefishing in a lot of ways. We fish for them with 5 and 6 wts and flies very similar to bonefish patterns. I must admit though, bowfishing is as much, if not more, fun than the flyrod!!
