Came into a little play money today. Gonna buy a new bow. If money was no problem what would you buy and why?  :bigsmyl:

Hard question there.

I'll give three: A tricked out-

1) Acadian Woods Tree Stick.

2) Morrison bow.

3) Schafer Silvertip.

....And why?? Because it's YOUR money!   :D

I have 2 Monarch Imperials: 1) 66" 63@29
                            2) 62" 80@29
If I came into some extra money I believe I'd buy another one. Probably 62" and 70#. They just feel really good when I shoot them.
Also Have a Wes Wallace Royal T/D, 66" 57@29, would recommend buying one of these also. Sweet Bow.

Hornes Combo hunter Or Dryad bow

I love the looks of either bows and they are top notch guys to deal with. They can trick out their bows however you want also. If you are wanting one that can recieve sights, stabilizers and other dumahikeys

Plus you can get either one of those bows with two sets of limbs for the same price as some more expensive bows... They are deffinitly top notch
Combo Hunter 46@28

I came from nothing and I brought it with me.

The trouble with many of the best bows is that there is a year or more wait to get them. If you want the bow in the not too distant future, a Morrison would be my choice. Bob has some of his bows in stock, but even a custom order is often 3 or 4 months away as opposed to 12 to 14 for some bowyers. I have been waiting for a year or more on a number of my custom bow orders. They are worth the wait, but you won't have a bow very soon if you go that route. Oddan was fortunate enough to find his Shrew as a show bow at Compton. Great bow with no wait! Lucky guy. The rest of us have to take a number and wait a year (or more). If you would prefer something like an ACS, they are in stock too, but I personally think the Morrisons are nicer for about the same money -- and I have an ACS with two sets of limbs that I think is a very nice shooting bow.

I would try to go to a shoot where there would be a few bowyers or someone who sells used bows so I could see what felt good to me.  Then you can buy the used one or you can order a new one in that model.

Yes I was lucky. Gratefull also. But the good news for everyone else is I gave up my spot on the list for an October bow. Everyone got a move-up from Oct on. They are WELL worth the wait.

Please take a look at RER. Not only do they make some beautiful, sweet shooting bows, they are also great people to work with.

Good luck in your quest!
Regards,

Rodd
