Excellent bow. My 6 year old has one as do more than a few members children on here. If you do a search, you'll find lots of threads and pics of smiling kids.

I build my own bows...but after reading about Mike, I am seriously thinking of visiting with him about making one to shoot for myself!

I bought one for my wife and she got a kick out of picking out the wood. Beautiful bow at a great price and Mike is a pleasure to deal with. Once my son gets a little older I hope his first bow is from Maddog.

Got one for my son in May and I think I can sell the Stacy compound now.  All he wants to shoot is the recurve now, and he's shooting it well.  Mike is a great guy to deal with.  When I ordered it, he said it wouldn't be done til middle of June.  I said thats fine, he will just have a late Birthday present.  Mike asked for his birthday and told me he will have it in time.  Got the bow with a week 3 days before his birthday.  Wow!  That's just awesome!  Bow really slings an arrow too.  Cant say enough good stuff about Mike and Maddog bows.

You will love it.  I shoot Mike's mid-size longbow and recurve.  Great bows at a great price.
