Nice Damon Howatt
« on: July 03, 2009, 07:17:00 PM »
Pretty tough to beat the beauty and shooting qualities of the older Damon Howatt bows. Here is a nice example that I've been shooting courtesy of a good friend. 62" Monterey. 33# @ 28". I draw it a little over 31" so I'm shooting it in the low 40's and it shoots full length 1916's with 145gr. tips beautifully.

Very nice!

I had a High Speed that I really regret selling.

nice bow...
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Hey Dave, a friend of mine shot a Super Diablo. We were going hunting one morning so he laid his bow on the sofa for the next morning. He and his crazy wife got into a spat and she stormed out of the b-room and flopped on the sofa. Snapped the bow in half at the handle(she had a BIT of a heft to her). Thats the story I got, anyway.

Bill:

That is a good one!

This one shoots the same be it with 1916's rather than 2018's that worked best at my draw length out of the 45# Hunter. If you ever get tired of it, let me know.
