Let's see your Dale Dye bows
« on: July 08, 2009, 11:28:00 PM »
I'm going to order a Dale Dye Trails End and would like to see some pic's. I'd like to see a few to get some ideas for woods and his stained limbs.
Thanks

Good choice to go with one
of Dale's bows.Be prepared
for a long wait, but well worth it.

Here are the bows Dale made for me in '89, '94 and '05.  There is no better bowyer in the world, nor better hunting partner.  I've killed 13 elk with those bows and countless whitetails (we can shoot up to 6 here per year).  The best part is that if I'm very slow and deliberate starting to gut an elk, he gets antsy, removes his shirt and shoves me out of the way.  I'm sure he's on to the ruse, but he goes along and has probably field dressed 75% of my elk.

A few years ago we set up tree stands and ambushed two bulls...they fell dead within 10 paces of one another!

Dale's 10 years older than I.  When I was 40, I said to myself, "Man I hope I can do the things he does when I'm 50."  Now I'm 62 and I don't say that I'd like to do what he's doing at 72 because I can't do it now!

I wish everyone could experience the special connection of a hunting partner that you can spend 60-70 days a season traveling, camping and hunting with.  Special bond for sure.

I still regret getting rid of my Dale Dye.  If it ever goes up for sale again, I will get it back, but the guy who owns it has no intention to sell.

Dale's work has exceeded my expectations and he is a great person to do business with.  These are easily my 2 favorite bows.  Here are some pictures of my medicine points. The top one is bicote and the bottom one is ebony.  Both bows have medicine wood limbs with antler tips.
