Safari Tuff Quiver questions!!!

Hey All, I hope everyone is having a safe fun filled summer!!   Question:  Safari tuff owners  how long have you owned and used this quiver? What types of hunting do you use this for stands,stalking,ground blinds,ect... critters you use it for, do you use fanny pack,or day pack, I understand that it works well with day pacs and back packs,what about fanny packs?? I have  used and tried almost every quiver out there except this one and I like the idea of it being it is not top load like the others,but how bad does it collect rain and leaves ,tiwgs ect!!!  I always find myself going back to a bow quiver for many reasons,Number one being that my arrows are out front and to draw a special arrow out with out taking my eyes completly off the animal, like judos or hex heads for small game, with the safari quiver,do you have to mark the arrows where you can see them so you know which is which??  any and all comments are appreciated!!  Thanks gang, Jim

You won't be sorry with one. It will collect a little debris but not much and it dumps easy. The only thing I have found is you need to remember to take arrows out after a rain and let the foam dry out our it will start rusting your broadheads.

I used mine all last season. I carry it with a Badlands Ultra day pack with no problems.

I walk, ride four wheeler, climbing stands,hang on stands, ladder stands and the quiver works perfect.

I have never had any dirt or leaves get in it at all. I have hunted in a sprinkle and the arrows stayed dry.

I am too old and wise now to hunt in real rain so I don't know how it will work then and I don't plan on finding out either.   :D

I can't stand a bow quiver and have used just about every other quiver out there and so far this is the one for me.

I started using one last fall and love it!  It goes through brush better than any other quiver I have used, even better than bow quivers IMO.  I use a day pack with no interference.  Fanny pack would even touch it I don't think.  When crawling through heavy brush I have had it collect a little debris at times, but like swp says, it dumps out easily.

I use mine with fanny packs and even carrying a blind, mine made it through the JLMBH last year and that is some tough going.

I've used mine in creek bottoms in MS to the mountains in CO, and used it for a 3-D quiver for at least two seasons.  I can't find anything wrong with it.

I put my bow and my arrows in mine and ride my bike to the end of the road and then start hunting. My bow is an ACS. I love mine. You won't go wrong buying one of these. Much quieter going through brush because the feathers are covered. They are also very light but strong. Gary

I love mine too. But I've only worn it at 2 bow shoots and already the cloth that lays against your back and sides is rubbin white.

Someone told me when I got into this....that I'd have 3 or 4 quivers.  They were right.

The Safari Tuff I have is a winter 3D/target and a turkey hunting quiver (since I use the same bow for each).  I find it hot to use for warm weather 3D (since I discovered the pocket quiver!).  I use a bow mounted quiver to deer hunt/elk (2010) hunt, as I want my arrows immediately at hand.

Do I like the arrowmaster, though?  Love it.  I keep my stringer/arrows/nocking pliers/tape measure/extra string/extra tab/etc... in it.  And, I still take it to shoots, I just use the pocket quiver to go on the course with.  When it cools off, I'll just grab the arrowmaster and go.  If I lived in a cooler climate, I'd surely use it, more.

It's good quality, and I've never regretted buying it.  It'll go with me to ATAR, this weekend.

Thanks everyone, some good honest input here! compared to whats out there this arrowmaster is a very thought out design! I have bow quivers,hip quivers,home made back quivers and a home made side quiver made out of and old hip quiver, I always find myself going back to the bow quivers,and i dont have a problem with them,but i do like the idea behind this safari tuff!! I'll have to give it a try!! thanks again!  Jim

I really like my arrow master quiver for ground hunting and shoots.  i had one in the tree stand this year and wasn't super happy with having to go into it for a second arrow if the need came up .....and it did.  i switched to a bow quiver for the stand.  having said that I think I needed to place the quiver in a better place to have access to arrows.  My only issue is what direction will you be facing when you need the next arrow?  I have an elk hunt coming up and I am tossed up between the arrowmaster and a bow quiver.  We'll see.

Over all I am happy that I got one.

I use mine for stump shooting, 3-D shooting, and hunting from the ground.  (I haven't been using tree-stands so I can't say that I've used it that way.)

I've used it for rabbit, deer, and elk hunting.  When elk hunting I switched back to a bow quiver when humping up and down the "hills".  I was wearing a Bison gear pack and it worked fine, it just moved around a lot when humping up and down the inclines.

It was very handy though for carrying my GPS.

I've used it with fanny packs and the Bison gear pack with great results.

I recommend it highly.

Allan and todd, this is the kind of info I was looking for,good honest feild tested info,everyone has given me good stuff to base my purchase on!!  I hunt from ladder stands,spot and stalk/still hunt in swamps to mountains and everything in between, my bows are always set up to shoot the quietest poss. and many times have second shot chances,where another arrow is needed asap, my concerns now is reaching for that second arrow,will i grab a judo,blunt or broadhead with out looking down to the quiver!!?? I could solve this by carrying just broadheads but I also hunt tree rats and bunnies and/or anything that is in an open season!!

I carry both judos and broadheads in mine.  I put the judos in first with the broadheads toward the top so they are the first ones to grab if something starts happening quickly.

Thanks whip,good info there,That would make sence to keep the broadheads up close so that you can have at them blindly!!  I have almost always used bow quivers as everything is right there in front but i have a longbow setup I just dont want a bow quiver on because of looks,never had a problem with shooting with a bow quiver!  Thanks Jim

Great quiver, you won't regret it! I love mine its the only quiver I need and own!
