Bear Montana grip?
« on: July 15, 2009, 02:04:00 PM »
I need to build a grip just like a Montana longbow.  I would really appreciate it if someone who owns one could take a couple of closeup photos for me.  I also need the circumference of the grip at the throat and the fat, palm swell section.  This would be from one of the newer ones.  Thanks a bunch guys!

Just hold a 64 inch piece of 1x2 like a bow and you'll have an idea,LOL!!!! The one I shot felt kinda square in the grip but have seen some nice modifications done in the past.
Just one more step please!

Hey Apex, I dont have picts. of standard but could take some , would not be untill this sunday for me to have time for pictures on the std. montana bow but,  with the std. leather grip cover on which is about, maybe 1/16" thick. grip cover is double thickness at back of bows grip. sorry dont have a naked grip to measure closer for you.  measured at throat with tape held tight as i can  it measures 5-1/2 "   at swell of palm  6" .   I do have pictures of montana supreme i can email you now, or before sunday. it is slightly more shapely then the std. montana longbow. Need your email for pictures. hope this helps,  Ken

I found some good photos guys.  I appreciate the help.  Coyote1956, that's what I wanted to know about the size.  Thanks again.
