Bucking the Wind

Have any of you guys experimented with different hunting arrow configurations in order to try to make them less effected by wind?  I am going to Canada Caribou hunting this year and was thinking I would like to be shooting some arrows optimized for windy conditions.

My current thoughts are to use Thin carbons with smaller 2 blade broadheads or maybe even something like a muzzy head and the smallest feathers I can get away with.  I am wondering if I should go with a higher FOC or try to keep the arrow more balanced.

Again, any help would be appreciated!  What are your personal experiences with arrows in windy conditions?

I'm a big fan of the 2 blade heads. I like to mount them horizontal so that they do not get pushed by a side gust before the arrow can start to spin. Has worked well in target shooting and hunting situations. My arrows are just 5" helical fletched cedars.

I never thought of mounting the head sideways.  Good idea.

Anyone else thought about this?  Or tried to make some windproof arrows?
