I expect I've killed at least as many hogs as Biggie, lol, and almost every one has been taken with a 2 blade, regardless of bow weight. I've had so many "stand up" blood trails I can't begin to rememeber them all. By stand up, I mean I could almost trot or run along them.. The widest head I've used is the Zwickey Delta and the smallest would be along the lines of the Eskimo. Hit a hog in the right place and blood will flow..

I have no experience with 3 blade heads I'm sure they are fine too.

I like big two blades like the treeshark or 3 or 4 blades like the woodsman.Would use the big snuffer but shoot less than 45lbs and draw less than 28 so stick with smaller muliblade heads. The new 4 blade no mercy would be a good one for light weight bows as it might give you a bit more blood. With 56lbs I would shoot the biggest thing I could find. :)

Great thread, I'm glad Curt moved it over here.

Here's the new Zwickey No Mercy 4 blade that James mentioned.  We just got these in recently and they are impressive!

That's a good lookin' broadhead for anyone, but i think it would excel for folks that shoot lighter poundage, but still want the advantage of a multi-blade....very nice

Yeah that broadhead would slide through most any critter with a light bow.

Always wanted a Stos with bleeders because I thought it would be about perfect for lighter bows.Seems Zwickey beat them to the line with this great head.Might get some for my light weight osage bows.

That is BIG hogs....I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a 150# or less hog with a big 160 Snuffer.....

But I killed my biggest with a 160 Snuffer.....

I have shot few hog's with a grizzly and shot completly through all of them.  following the blood trail was like someone took a paint brush and painted every sapling red.

Yeah Curt.....cool reading post all the way back to 2003.

I still hold to the Wensel Woodsman as the best all around Bhead for hogs for me....even though I've shot a few since my original post with 2 blades.....and killed more with Zwickey 4 blades.  I just think the Wensel is the best from samich hogs to 2 inch shielded ones.

However, as SlowBow posted above...I also agree with the No Mercy 4 blade being a great all around head.....and that would include hogs as well.  I have a few already glued up and ready.

In a discussion with Charlie Lamb bout 4 years ago, I told him I'd love to see a head the width  of the Eskimo and the length of the Delta as that would make a great combo for an all around head.....and they sure look like that is the case.  I really like these No Mercy 4 blades.

Pat B. living in Texas you have an unfair advantage on pure numbers of hogs but you'd have killed a bunch more with a good multiple bladed head  :-)  (IT'S A JOKE)

Really, a good solid head is a good solid head and I've used several different ones over the years and like bear killer Stillman says SHARP makes 'em bleed.

I'm really pleased with the muzzy phantoms with the bleeders in 225 grains. I'm zipping thru everything again. There for awhile I was leaving arrows in the animal. Dropping 10 lbs of bow weight I guess.

Yup used the WW for a long time then when the Razorcap came out i switched to it, i like the ability to change weight and the stainless steal.

I am kind of lucky with a 31" draw and my bows are 56# to 59# so i havent had to worry much about the arrow gitting out the other side.

On a sow i took, she was about 175#, i shot a little to far forward, compleatly broke down the on side shoulder, would not even use the leg and broadhead made it about 4" out of the offside shoulder, went through both shoulder blades. I was shooting a 2216 at the time with a 175 grain Razorcap arrow was a little over 600 grains, shot was about 15 yards. Now this was no 250# boar with thick arrmor but needless to say i was very impressed with the head.

OK OK enough of that back to broadheads. Like i said a few post ago i have shot 3 blade cut on contact for ever, but i sure have been eyeballing the Magnus 4 blade stinger. It sure looks like it will just slip through a hog and still leave a big hole. One of these day i will have to pick some up just to try them.

Now you're talking Pops, I haven't had a 4 blade Stinger slow down through any animal yet, including an elk. That being said, I just picked up some WW Elites in 150 grain to add to the quiver for Turkeys and sammich hogs.
