Marblewood anyone?
«

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried marblewood in a riser?
I bought a piece large enough for a riser for just a few bucks. It looks like it would look good.

I just was talking with the Dryad/Helle folks (I think that is who it was) about that wood. Said it is the nastiest thing on his equipment...

I looked at Dryads and a few other sites and found risers with marblewood. They looked really nice. I guess since I already have to piece, I'll give it a try.

Got a RER LXR with a Marblewood Crescent Flair in the riser. Tough stuff, pretty dense and heavy stuff.

Ben Pearson used it in many of their hunting bows in the early to mid 1970's.

It's a very good riser wood, just tough as nails to work with. You think they call it Marblewood because it looks like marble. Nope it's hard as marble.
