the carbonwoods fly beautifully out of my longbow as long as I take the bow quiver off.  so at least I have one option today....(and can keep shooting until other options present)

Hate that happened to you. I would bet it sounded like thunder when she snapped.... your'e pretty lucky to get away with nothing more than a busted riser..

it's a little heavier than red thunder...I'm guessing 'lucky #7' is in the low sixties... I can't find my bow scale right now

so....I've shot 'lucky 7' three or four times now.  today, I snuck out after a dentist appointment and before work today for a quick session.   Man, its really hard to feel anchor when the whole side of your face is numb!   :D

I glanced one off the back of the 3d, and was back in the woods huntin for it....when along came a member of the 'opposite sex'   :)

all I had on me was my iphone so I apologize for the crappy images.  she hung around stomping and head bobbing for a 'good 10 skeeter bites'.  walked off then came back a couple times.

after we parted ways I happened to find 2 arrows I had 'misplaced' over a year ago.   :)   all in all a great morning (aside from the dental work!)

If for some reason you need a bow for the season, recurve or longbow just give me a holler and you can borrow something to hunt with.....no problem.

Your one lucky dude! I've had a few of my bows go south during the "testing" phase of building. I had a riser split down the middle once at full draw, it was like having a fire cracker go off in my hand. It took weeks to heal enough that I could shoot a bow again. I now test fire each of my bows at least 100 times before I let them go, the first 50 wearing a full face motorcycle helmet and welding gloves.

glad it didn't "bite" you when it came apart

if you really liked the bow &the limbs
I agree with gluing it back together to make a templete for a replacement riser
