Wildgame Innovations Trail Cams?

Just wondering if anyone here had any experience with the new one's that are out this year?

I'd really like to buy Scoutguards, Moultries, Cuddy's,or something in that class....buuuut....
things are a little tight this year, and I'd like to have a couple more cams.

4 models ranging from $50-$100....reviews are pretty good, but battery life is still a question. Last year they had problems with battery life, but supposedly have improved it.

I know the pic quality won't be "Cuddy-like", but I'd like to know what's around.....

Ive actually been wondering the same thing, kinda seems to good to be true an IR camera at that price...Ill be following this one closely to see if what you guys think!

I read the reviews and checked out the sample pics and these cams look to be well worth the money.  Had my wildviews stolen last year and wasn't planning on getting another but for the price, I may pick one of these up.

Yeah Rob,thanks bud, I read that, but time will tell if the tested camera will have better battery life than last year. That's why I was hoping someone here has had one out for while.....

Curt, another option would be the wildview xtreme 2.  i just got one at gander mountain.  it came with 4 batteries and the sd card on sale for 79$.  it also shoots video clips.  the main feature i like is the fact that there is a 12volt port, i rigged it up to a cycle battery...this thing will go forever on that type of power source

Thanx Pete, But I've heard the trigger speed on the Wildviews are very slow. Have you found that to be the case?

I need something with decent trigger speed to set on trails. We can't do mineral licks or feed in any way.

Looks to be a good acorn year too, so I'll be monitoring some good oak trees as well.....that should make them slow down a bit.

The Moultrie's I got last year had to be really angled down a trail to catch a critter unless it moseying along really slow.

you are right...the xtreme 2 doesnt have the fastest trigger.  i use it near mineral licks or watering areas so i dont need a super fast trigger.  you could check into the xtreme 3, much improved trigger speed and still half the $ as a cudde back.  i found trailcameras.net has some useful reviews.

i bought the $50 model last year to try it out and it performed very well for what it is.  don't us SD cards over 1GB as anything larger will lock up the board.  it takes pics and pretty good ones, that's all i want it to do.  trigger speed is good as long as it's pointed in the right direction.  the 4 C battery life is good for about 50 pics at night.  i cracked it open, rewired it, and added a 1/8" jack for external battery.  bought some lead/acid genesis 6v batteries off **** for about a $1 each.  you can check out my recent pics on the trailcam thread to see some of my latest pics.  some are out to 20-30'.  overall, i'm very happy with the camera.  so happy, i bought five more last week and rewired them.  now all i need is time to put them on a tree.

Curt a friend just bought two of them. They are up and running now. I'll give you a report in a week or so. I use Scoutguards so I will have a good comparison.

So far all I have read and heard has been good on the new Wildlife Innovations cams. Trigger speed is good, decent battery life and such. I have not heard any buddy say how good the PIR is at range? Anyway price is good for use in areas that theft could happen.

Good point Steel.Now if I can figure how to find them in Canada    .Sometimes it feels like being on the wrong side of the Berlin wall(I know it's gone).

by me on public land theft is always a concern so that being a concern the price was attractive in case i lose it, so far it sounds like a decent camera may have to try one or two myself

Well I had a gift card and bought a WGI 2.0 cam. Put it out today so we'll see how it goes....

There's a guy that posts on KY hunting site that has a WGI camera and said he got 2000 pics before having to change the batteries.  Said the only problem he could see was that the cam would still takes pics at night but wouldn't flash when batteries got weak.  Hope yours works as well.
